Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts Dance Collective with Amber Borotsik

It is my great joy to be creating music for one of the most fearless and unique dance collectives in the city. Amber Borotsik is inspired in bringing out the brilliance of each dancer  to create one of a kind dance works. One of my favourite places to play!

GARTH PRINCE BAND and SCHOOL RESIDENCY PROGRAMS

A thrill to learn traditional music from Namibia as well as original music from Naminian born Singer, Songwriter, Performer and African Music Educator Garth Prince. I invite you to look at his website for all the wonderful sounds and goodness he is bringing to CanadaGarth Prince website

d'CANA

was an exciting band that features Ron Ceilin on bass, John Neelin on drums and percussion, George Koufogiannakis on guitars, oud, bazouki, banjo and other stringed things and myself on vocals, saxophones, melodica, harmonium and other windy things.  We were inspired by music from around the world in all forms, letting those sounds influence our compositions. Fusing together unlikely combinations of instruments and styles, we travel the world of sounds with intense grooves, sparse soundscapes and fantastic improvisations.  Our first CD, Earthtone, was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in 2014. It can be  purchased through itunes, CD baby, The Grammaphone or through one of us.

RISE & V.I.N.E is a collaboration of Brett Mile's RISE ( an instrumental improvisation weekly gathering that happened at the Sugar Bowl for many years) and Karen's Vocal Improvisation Network of Edmonton (V.I.N.E.).  We first started in the summer of 2011 with a monthly gathering at The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse.  We do not have a regular place to play at the moment but love to get together when we do. We also played the 2012 and 2013 Silver Skate Festival. We hope to bring improvised music as a recognized part of the music scene in Edmonton.
