The Vocal Improvisation Network of Edmonton (V.I.N.E.) is hosting an event for The Bank of Gratitude Ceremony this Sunday.
We are gathering at 3:30pm at the Boat Launch in Sir Wilfred Laurier Park by the Zoo. At 4 pm we will begin the ceremony with an opening, then a meditation/conversation/communion with the water of the North Saskatchewan, followed by an offering of Creation and will be concluded with a closing.
You are invited to come participate in any way that is comfortable for you. Please bring what you wish for a creative offering. The creations can include but not limited to sculpting, painting, singing, instruments, poetry, writings, dance and any creative work that can be created on the bank of the River.
The Vocal Improvisation of Edmonton will facilitate with a sonic offering that you are free to participate or you can stay within your own creation.
Please bring what you need to be comfortable and supported for this experience. Water, Chair, Blanket, Shoes that can get muddy, etc.
Post Ceremony, If moved to do so, we may continue the singing into the trees and surrounding area and/or have a fire and share yummy offerings with each other. So feel free to bring these items if you wish and can.
The event is free to all who wish to come and connect with water.
